Fisantekraal Animal Welfare (FAW) is an inspiring initiative which aims to help the dogs and cats of the Fisantekraal township, Morning Star, Klipheuwel, and surrounding farms near Durbanville, Western Cape.
FAW provides sterilisations, vaccinations against rabies and other diseases, as well as helping care for injured or abandoned animals. They rely mostly on donations in order to provide much needed aide to these poor little critters.
Their ultimate goal is to establish a clinic in which they can carry out their duties with all the proper facilities in place.
Hamiltons reached out to help in any way we could. We wanted to raise awareness by creating social media posts in an attempt to spread their message. One of our photographers made repeated visits to FAW to capture their extraordinary efforts and dedication. She spent time with the team and documented all the different procedures they provide to the animals of the community. These photographs will now form part of the FAW visual library and will be integrated into their social media posts.
We partnered with them to advertise their second annual cycling endurance test that spans 480 km, or more fittingly “FAW80 km”, from Oudtshoorn to Durbanville, with the aim of generating more donations to see their clinic project materialise.
We were proud to contribute a generous donation to their cause and in turn put a call out to other businesses in the Durbanville area to make contributions as well.
Hamiltons is excited to continue our relationship with FAW for years to come, and ensure these innocent creatures are thriving and receiving the proper care they deserve.
